*shudders* i personally totally dislike both vampiric and Zealous mods, especially Zealous.
I see a use for Vampiric atleast but i still dislike it. Zealous has got to be by far the worse weopon mod, sundering is an amazing mod in comparison.

a scythe i could possibly understand, a set of daggers too, perhaps,
but the cyclone, triple chop, well that doesnt work very effectively unless ur solo farming, which in either case even a vampiric, furious or sundering would be better so u can kill them quicker and increase ur money faster.

So...this topic degenerated from a post on elemental sword skins to really trashy posts on sundering/vampiric/zealous, which no one Ive seen has posted anything remotely intelligent about?

Because it does jack all damage compared to vampiric.

No it's not. If you assume a three hit chain from an axe, I'd take a guaranteed nine damage every time as opposed to a ~12 damage that only irregularly comes up.

You're assuming completely incorrectly.

It's called energy management. If you hit more than once every three seconds you get more energy back from zealous than you lose. Axes attack every 1.33s, that is you get back 2.2 energy every three seconds from zealous and lose 1 energy in degen. You are making a profit of 1.2 energy/3s or just over one pip. That's without an IAS
So in conclusion the reason you use Zealous is because you're using something that requires energy and needs more than two pips to power it.

I'm not particularly sorry. You want high end discussion, stick to threads which are on a slightly more intelectual topic than e-penis stretching through your weaponry. Sundering sucks, it's a generally accepted view amongst the higher end of the GW playerbase unless I've missed something recently and I'm trying to improve the general level of the playerbase. Do you prefer to let people wallow in their own scrubiness?
For those who are more interested there is a thread at Team-iQ which puts out maths that pretty comprehensively shows that vampiric is better. There are a few people who still argue that the potential of getting multiple sunder-processes in a spike is worth it, despite your spike having issues the rest of the time and there's a potentially interesting idea about scythes/hammers, GFTE! and sundering but for general play, vampiric has been shown to beat the hell out of sundering.

Read it and weep sunderscrubs.

bash some enemies, swap to zealous axe, cyclone them, triple chop them, swap to whatever axe. rinse and repeat.
